Every year, many locals and tourists come to enjoy cherry blossom viewing and sightseeing along the Uji River, seeking the exceptional atmosphere of the cherry blossoms along the river.

"Sumiyama Pottery Festival"
Located at the northern tip of Uji, Sumiyama is a quiet mountain village enveloped in lush greenery. Long ago, an ancient poem sang of Kisen-hoshi, "I live in Tatsumishi, the capital," and along the source of the Shizu River, which flows at the foot of Mt. Kisen, three pottery complexes blend seamlessly with nature.
The Sumiyama Pottery Festival, featuring an array of Sumiyama pottery, a historic part of Uji's culture, draws crowds in search of their favorite pieces.

The tea ceremony at the municipal tearoom “Taihoan” is available only on the day of the event.
(Sencha or Matcha / 1,500 yen per person, tax included)


Oujichama, known as Matcha Prince of the Cha-cha Kingdom, will visit on April 4 (Sat)!
Appearing on April 5 (Sun) at 11:00 and 14:00!!
・If it rains on the 4th, the visit will be moved to the 5th.
・Please note that the appearance may be canceled or postponed depending on circumstances.
