”Around the World（世界を知ろう）”
During the year-end and New Year's holidays, many different events take place in different countries.   The theme was decided from the desire of the children and teachers to learn more about countries with different cultures and lifestyles. While the number of foreigners coming to Japan from all over the world is increasing and exchanges are growing, the world is facing growing problems such as global warming and wars.

　We will think about how multicultural diversity should be with children who will live in the future, learning about countries, cultures, languages, and what is happening in the world today.

Songs ：Listen to winter songs from around the world and sing them!
Costumes： Let's look at the costumes of the royal families around the world.
Food:what kind of food people eat around the world.

During the Winter period, we have planned various activities such as art classes, cooking classes,field trrip, among others.
Furthermore, during our daily circle time, we will engage with the children to discuss what kind of play they would like to have, fostering child-led play and learning.
PAL stands for "Play and Learn." What we value most is for children to think and act for themselves. Instead of teachers imparting knowledge, children will discover and expand upon their interests and curiosities. The role of the teacher is to facilitate, create an environment, and accompany children in deepening their interests.
While the common language at PAL International School@Hiroo is English, we also value the children's native Language. Let's spend an enjoyable Winter at PAL International School, where multicultural and multilingual coexistence is nurtured!

今年のテーマは”Around the World（世界を知ろう）”です。

年末年始には、各国に様々な行事が行われます。文化も生活も違う国のことをもっと知りたい！という子どもたちそして先生たちの想いからテーマが決まりました。世界各国から日本にいらしている外国人の方も増え交流が増えている反面、世界では地球温暖化、戦争など問題が大きくなっています。

　これからの時代を生きていく子どもたちと、世界の国や文化、言語そして今起きていることを知り、多文化多様性のありかたを一緒に考えていきます。
・国旗　世界中にはどんな国があるのか調べてみよう
・歌　　世界中の冬の歌を聞いてみよう　歌ってみよう
・衣装　世界中の皇族の衣装をみてみよう　作ってみよう

　Winter School期間中は、アートクラス・フードクラス・遠足、そしてイベントを企画しています。

PALは”Play and Learn” 「遊びをとおして学ぶ」という意味です。私たちが大切にしていることは、子どもたちが自ら考え行動していくことです。先生がなにかを教え込むのではなく、子どもたちが発見、興味をもったことをひろげ、深めていきます。先生はファシリテーターとなって、環境をつくり、子どもたちの興味関心を深めていく伴走をいたします。
PAL International School＠Hirooでは共通言語は英語になりますが、子どもたちの母国語も大切にしてまいります。多文化多言語共生のできるPAL International Schoolで楽しい冬休みをすごしましょう！
