※出発地は、京都駅・宇治駅、萬福寺をお選びいただけます。いずれも参加料金は同額です。
※この事業は、京都府・（公社）京都府観光連盟の『「京都 朝・夜観光」推進事業補助金』を活用して実施しています。
■Event Details
① Early Morning Special Experience at Obakusan Manpukuji Temple (Early Morning Private Visit)
- Guided tour of the temple by a monk.
- Interact with a monk in the temple hall, which is normally closed to the public.
- Afterwards, enjoy zen meditation and breakfast porridge.
② Uji River Cruise (Approximately 20 minutes)
- Experience the luxury of admiring the beautiful scenery along the Uji River from a pleasure boat.
*The tour may be canceled in the event of bad weather or when the Uji River is flooded. In that case, you will be guided to the "Chazuna" Tea and Uji Town Exchange Center Museum.
③ Tea Research Institute Visit
- Learn about Uji tea, including variety cultivation and product development.
- Experience the taste of sencha brewed using a tea dripper developed with the cooperation of the Tea Industry Research Institute.
* A dedicated bus will be used for transportation between each event venue. There will be no bus guides on board.
* Departure points can be selected from Kyoto Station, Uji Station, or Manpukuji Temple. The participation fee is the same.
* This project is being carried out using the Kyoto Morning and Night Tourism Promotion Project Subsidy from Kyoto Prefecture and the Kyoto Tourism Federation.

黄檗山萬福寺 / Obakusan Manpukuji Temple
1661年に中国僧「隠元隆琦（いんげんりゅうき）禅師」によって開創されました。その後幕府の政策等により、宗派を黄檗宗（おうばくしゅう）と改称し現在に至ります。日本でいう「禅宗」は、臨済宗、曹洞宗、黄檗宗の三宗に分類されています。
萬福寺の建造物は、中国明朝様式を取り入れた伽藍配置です。創建当初の姿のままを今日に伝える寺院は日本では他に例が無く、代表的禅宗伽藍建築群として、天王殿・大雄宝殿・法堂3棟が国宝、他主要建物20棟・回廊・額などが国の重要文化財にそれぞれ指定されています。
※2024年、黄檗山萬福寺の三棟（法堂・大雄宝殿・天王殿）が『国宝』へ指定されました！
Its mountain name is Obakusan. It was founded in 1661 by the Chinese monk Ingen Ryuki. Later, due to policies of the shogunate, the sect was renamed Obakushu, a name it still holds to this day. Zen Buddhism in Japan is divided into three sects: Rinzai, Soto, and Obaku.
*In 2024, three buildings of Obakusan Manpukuji Temple (Hatō, Daibutsuden, and Tennoden) were designated as National Treasures!
宇治川観光通船 / Uji River Sightseeing Boat
源氏物語宇治十帖にも登場する宇治川を、ゆったりとクルージングする遊覧船です。
宇治川の中州には塔の島と橘島があり、島を結ぶ朱色の橋の欄干が水面に映る景色は、物語の舞台となった王朝時代を想起させる雅やかさです。
普段は運行していないさわやかな朝の時間に、宇治の美しい表情を水上から満喫いただきます。
This sightseeing boat offers a leisurely cruise down the Uji River, which also appears in the Uji Chapter of The Tale of Genji. The sandbar in the river is home to Tonoshima and Tachibanajima, and the sight of the vermilion bridge connecting the islands reflected on the water's surface is an elegant reminiscent of the imperial era that was the setting for the story. During the refreshing morning hours, when the boat is not usually in operation, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Uji from the water.

宇治茶の新たな可能性を追求し、幅広い分野で研究に取り組む「京都府農林水産技術センター 農林センター 茶業研究所」（以下、茶業研究所）は、宇治茶の品質向上と茶業の発展を目的に1925年に創設され、今年でちょうど100年目となります。。
これまでは宇治茶の研究を中心に、茶業経営の後継者育成にも力を入れてきましたが、2018年に建物がリニューアルしたことをきっかけに、宇治茶の魅力を広く情報発信する拠点としての活動も行っています。
The Kyoto Prefectural Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Technology Center's Tea Research Institute (hereafter referred to as the Tea Research Institute) is a research institute that pursues new possibilities for Uji tea and conducts research in a wide range of fields. It was founded in 1925 with the aim of improving the quality of Uji tea and developing the tea industry, and this year marks its 100th anniversary. Until now, the institute has focused on research into Uji tea, with an emphasis on training successors to manage the tea industry. However, since the building was renovated in 2018, it has also begun to function as a hub for widely disseminating information about the appeal of Uji tea.
