The JPFA offers an English-language guided tour of plant factories and other facilities on the Chiba University Kashiwanoha campus. The tour guided by Specialists and offers time for discussion.
Duration: 90-120 minutes
Fee: JPY 3,500/person including tax
*The maximum number of participants is 15.
Reservations are required for all tours.
The JPFA has suspended on-site tours in English due to the coronavirus pandemic; on-site tours in Japanese
resumed gradually since November 2021.
Tours may be canceled or changed depending on the situation even after reservations are confirmed.
We request all visitors take steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus as follows:
Wear a face mask.
Use a hand sanitizer and take a temperature at the reception.
Maintain social distancing.
Anybody with a temperature of 37.5 degrees or above will be denied participation.

The JPFA oversees a total of more than 10 plant factories with artificial lighting (PFALs), greenhouses and other
related facilities on the Chiba University Kashiwanoha campus. These facilities, which use a variety of technologies
and methods, demonstrate collaborative research and production of multiple crops.
